After the big bitcoin scam, every user is curious about what kind of their data has been stolen. To overcome this curiosity twitter has enabled you to download “Your Twitter data”. So you will able to see what kind of data Twitter stores and what could have been stolen during the bitcoin scam. Twitter reenabled the feature nearly after two months. They shut off the feature as a precaution against further hacking. Now you can download data by following these steps.

How to download data?

  1. Go to Settings and privacy
  2. Then Click on Account
  3. In data and permission, you will see “Your Twitter data”
  4. Then type your “Password” and request to download your data in the archive.

It will take a bit longer to archive your data for about one hour or more. Once your archive is complete you will be able to download it.

If you are using a mobile app, it might not show up there, you need to use a website instead of an app.

Why twitter disabled the data download feature?

The reason behind shutting off the feature is good enough. Because Cybercriminals didn’t the only scam over the bitcoin in high-profile accounts like President Barack Obama, Democratic nominee Joe Biden and tesla CEO Elon Musk, but they also have access to “your twitter data ” archive. They can steal your private messages and other personal data with the “your twitter data” feature.

There are three suspects of the huge hack who have been charged. Among the three one is a Florida Teen which authorities believe was a “mastermind” behind the operation. But the FBI is still looking for further suspects and found an additional suspect who is 16- years old from Massachusetts.
